Hi, i am planning to buy a new bike for travelling and exotic places and after a long research i finalize two bike and their names are KTM Duke 390 and royal Enfield thunderbird 500. I want to know which bike powerful among the two and better for riding miles.
Undoubtedly Royal Enfield 500 CC wins the race clearly. As it is powered with 500CC of engine and styled like royal. It is far beter then ktm duke 390
Ktm duke 390 abs is almost of the same price as the royal enfield thunderbird 500.the duke gives the power punch with a very high rpm, but the re lacks in rpm . Duke has a single shock rear absorber which gives a very well suspension even on the roughest road . Duke is very light in weight(kerb weight). Re is definitely over weight . The rear wheel of the ktm is very broad and gives a very well traction while the rear tyre of re slips and drifts because it has been fitted with a thin tyre which it does'nt deserve at all because of its weight because as the mass increases inertia also increases.
I suggest you not to go with re because of its retro cool looks.
Go with the austrian ktm duke 390.
