Election Commission Has Announced Poll Schedule For 5 States

Today in a press conference Election Commission has announced the dates for Assembly Election to be held in five states. While the election will be in one phase in Punjab, Uttarakand, Goa and Manipur, Uttar Pradesh will witness election in seven phases.

Assembly polls in Punjab and Uttarakhand will be held on January 30,2012 and seven phased election in Uttar Pradesh is scheduled to be held on February 4,8,11,15,19,23 and 28 of 2012. Polling for Assembly Government in Manipur will be held on 28 January 2012 and on 3rd March in Goa. The counting of these polls will be held on March 4,2012 for all the five states.
