Delhi Rape victim Nirbhaya finally lost her battle to live - passes away

The 23-year-old girl, who was gang-raped and brutally assaulted in a Delhi bus died early on Saturday morning in a hospital here.

The girl, was admitted to the well-known multi-organ transplant facility Mount Elizabeth Hospital from the past few days. And as per the reports from the Elizabeth Hospital on this thursday morning. She was in an extremely critical condition, and took her last breath at 4:45am (2:15am India time) as per the reports. She was earlier treated at the Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi and from there she was recommended to Singapore.

Kelvin Loh, chief executive officer at Mount Elizabeth Hospital stated, "She had suffered “serious injuries to her body and brain".



Police in New Delhi are bracing for fresh protests amid calls for the death penalty for the six men accused of raping the woman and assaulting her with iron bars in the back of a moving bus on Dec 16. Ten subway stations and roads in central New Delhi are closed today, the Press Trust of India said.

It's really bad and whole India is under shock.

RIP Nirbhaya / Damini .. both names are coined by people, none of these names are her real name.
Btw, was she really died in Singapore or she died in India itself but Govt hid this fact to avoid public unrest ?

First and foremost, i feel disgusted at the same time helpless to not be able to do anything after reading and hearing about what that poor girl went through.
Every passing day and every breath those inhuman creatures take is an insult to HER.

I am of the view that perhaps she might have passed away in india itself, and the whole singapore scenario was created to avoid public unrest.

I honestly Hope and Wish.....this movement doesn't die and ensures Safety for women.

I wish that it changes the way system work but you see one of the accused who is so called minor will not be verdict , rather will be sent to detention only. Thats even more sad.
