people know the harmful affects of eating tobaccos, smoking, drinking etc. but they still eat these. Govt. is suggesting the people not to eat these things as it bad for health but the govt. is not banning these industries from manufacturing.

They can't ban it because lives of many many thousands of people depends upon this industry. Apart of bringing money to Govt... this business is deeply rooted into society.
It can't be banned at once but can be eradicated slowly. Govt. even banned smoking in public but it has had very little effect on smokers so it should be common man who should first quit tobacco.
well its a huge industry which cannot be cut now. Also a huge amount of revenue is coming from this sector. Difficult to take this step now. Companies like ITC is one of the major in this Field.
As long as there will be demand, there will be production.
Its the duty of common man to understand ill effects of Tobbaco and Quit using it.
