Precautions for skin before swimming-How do I preserve my skin color ?

Hi

I am new to swimming, just started and I find myself getting darker.. real darker due to swimming. :(

I understand that swimming in open can turn me dark.. I heard people say that chlorinated water in swimming pools also turns skin black ?

What I can do to safeguard my skin as well as hairs while I swim ?

There are many sun tan cremes which will take care of your skin...just pick up one which is water proof and works while swimming.

A simple option is to apply tons of vaslene (petrolieum jelly).

Sticky...but i keeps your skin outta sticky rashes.

Good idea though !
