What is so special about Nina Davuluri being Miss America 2013

So Nina Davuluri won Miss America title 2013, but there is so much talk going about it as if its not Miss America but Miss World title. It also showed that how much racist Americans are . Even how much ignorent they are, most of them were not even able to distinguish her from Arabs. They were thinking Bollywood dance as Arab dance.


"There's been a lot of buzz about Nina, but I think a lot has to do with her being the first Indian American to become Miss America. We're very happy about it, but it's just hard to keep up," Erica Fiocco, marketing coordinator for Miss America, was quoted as telling the Syracuse Post-Standard, Davuluri's home town newspaper, citing the flood of interview requests from US and around the world, particularly India. In fact, demand is so strong that organizers say they will probably send Davuluri to India sometime in the coming months."

That is what said by a newspaper, you know, it gave this Show a new life, this show as loosing its viewership from last 10 years and now because of Nina Davuluri - An Indian-American winning the show, its rating has spurred dramatically.
