AR Rehman-first Indian to get Golden Globe Award for Slumdog Millionaire

He won the award for the Best Original Music Score for the movie Slumdog Millionaire. The movie has also won the Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Motion Picture awards.

Slumdog Millionaire has been produced by Anil Kapoor and Irfan Khan. The film is based on a novel written by Vikas Swaroop. Gulzar has bagged the best lyricist award for his song ‘Jayahooo…’.

Slumdog Millionaire,'' an underdog story some awards watchers think could become an Oscar favorite, features a generally unknown cast in the story of an orphan boy in Mumbai who rises from terrible hardship to become a champ on India's version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,'' all the while trying to reunite with a lost love from his childhood.

Rehman .. has done a wonder again. Jai Ho song is played at the end of the movie while showing the star cast .. I found almost half the theatre sitting still and listening to the song.
