TIP:How to speed up your Menu on PC in Windows XP

Dear friends,
I have trick to speed up your pc just try this.

click "start "
click on " run "
type "regedit" without quotes.

just Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER /Control panel /desktop

select "MenuShowDelay"

right click on that then select "modify"
change value data to" 0 " (zero - dont write doble quotes)

hit ok

after that Reboot the system .

Now you will experience the speed of menu display popup.........

Welcome to eTI and congratulation for your first post as TIP.

I just modified title of your TIP to reflect content better. As your tip will reset menu show time to 0, hence you will find your menu opening quicker so sort of speed up :)

well this will just to remove unwanted things from task bar... and if this is removed definitely the booting speed will increase..and pc or laptop will start fast..

By the way, update the RAM is the best way.

hey u can even do it by going on run. type msconfig.. then choose selective startup and remove unwanted things which u dont want to run during startup..

umm nice tip sunidhi, what say Ron? which is better and why?

Sunidhi, I appreciate your comment , but trick given by me is not to improve startup of windows rather it is trick to minimize the "menu show delay" . What is "Menu show delay" ? for more explanation when you click on start button and when you place a mouse over "all programs" a list get pop up . the time which required to get this list pop up is said to be as "menu show delay" . so with this registery trick this delay will minimize and menu pop up becomes very fast !!!!! I hope you understand well !!!!!
