Western Digital 6 TB Hard Disk Keeps on Disappearing While Copying Data

I am currently using a desktop which is running on Windows 10. Currently i am using 2 Internal Hard Disks in my computer and they are all full, So i decided to put an extra large HDD in my PC.

Yesterday i brought a new Western Digital 6 TB HDD and attached it inside my cabinet because i want to copy my old data from my old Hard Disks to the new one.

So when i try to copy my files it crashes every time. I am unable to see my HDD in Disk management list of drives until i reboot my PC. The files i tried to copy are not the same its different every time.

Any suggestions or Advice regarding my issue ?

I would recommend that you backup all of the important data you might have on that HDD, just to be on the safe side. After that go ahead and download its manufacturer's diagnostic tool and run the tests on the drive, to see if any errors or bad sectors pop-up. You could also give it a try with a different SATA port and different cables, to see if the problem still persists.

Either HDD is dying or there is faulty cable.
