Don 2 (2011) Hindi Movie Review
Don 2 is a action thriller movie that has been shot on a huge canvas, in exotic location of Malaysia, Thailand, Zurich and Berlin. Shah Rukh khan has played a character of a gangster who is devil minded, ruthless, one who wants to spread his black business to the entire world. Does he succeed, the answer lies in the movie.
For those of you were excited to watch Shah Rukh in Don2, here is a bad news for you guys. Don 2 has failed to recreate same Charisma on screen which Don1 had created . Having established his supremacy over Asia the don now wants to expand his underworld empire to European countries. In order to do this he needs assistance of Vardan played by Boman Irani who is in jail. In order to rescue him from jail he decides that he will surrender himself before Interpol police officers played by Priyanka and Om Puri. After remaning in jail for few days they manage to breakthrough and escape the jail.
The rest of the film is essentially about a plan where they are able to steal the plates of German currency and decide to print German currency notes . They however succeed in doing so which is quite obvious because nothing is impossible for Don. Shah Rukh khan remains in command of the film even through the dramatic sequences.
The USP of this film is the action, the chase sequences, the gang wars, big cars demolishing like a pack of cards, destruction which have been shot quite well. Sometime the situations are highly unimaginative and lack practicality. Shah Rukh Khan does a bit justice to this character, his body language is cooky, his attitude is flamboyant and does his action scenes well. The dialogues are well written and spoken. The msic is given by the famous trio Shankar, Eshaan and loy and they completely rock you.
The film somehow fails to legacy of Don forward and if does well a lot of credit will go to Shah Rukh Khan flamboyant acting.
