Upgrade my BSNL SIM to 3G facility

My mobile no is 9448046077 which is a post paid cell one sim. I gave a letter to BSNL Jayanagar Telephone exchange post paid mobile incharge clerk, requesting her to upgrade my sim with 3G facility. she did some thing on computer and i got a smson my mobile giving username and password. She did not tell what i should next. I was taken back by her gestures indicating she does'nt care. when opened my mobile inbox i received user name and password ,i dont know what to do next. kindly help me how can see my mail messages. and send my mail by internet

You dont' have to do anything in order to activate 3G on your SIM, just change your phone to work in 3G mode and use some 3G dataplan if you are willing to use 3G data.
