Rahi Sarnobat Wins Gold ISSF World Cup in 25m sports pistol event

Rani Sarnobat create history by winning the gold medal in the ISSF World Cup 2013. She gave a tough fight and successful in defeating local hope Kyeongae Kim by 8-6 a closed call match.

She wins gold in 25m Sports pistol event. Clinching the gold Rahi joined the club of ISSF World Cup Gold medalist winners like Anjali Bhagwat, Gagan Narang, Sanjeev Rajput, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Ronjan Sodhi and Manavjit Singh Sandhu.

After the match she expressed her feeling and said, "It is a dream come true for me. I had been working hard with coach Anatoli Puddubny for the last few months at the Gun for Glory Academy and I am thankful to Lakshya and Vascon for the support they are providing me in this respect," said Rahi, who had earlier won a bronze medal in the 2011 ISSF World Cup in USA.

However, it was disappointing to see other indian challengers Anisa Sayyed finished 21st with a score of 572, while national champion Sushma Singh managed a score of 570 to finish 26th. Along with Anisa Sayyed few more who can't make it at the top.
