Union Budget 09-10 - Interim Budget highlights for coman man

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee Yesterday presented the affirmed the Government's commitment to social welfare programmers with something for everyone in it.

Pranab Mukherjee promised all that his government can do to ensure inclusive growth and address the growing aspirations of the country's young population

Mr. Mukherjee said UPA new agenda will ensure 12 million new jobs each year and reduce poverty by half by 2014. and other hand he ensures that the fruits of development reached across regions to touch the lives of every citizen.

Mr. Mukherjee announced the Sonia Gandhi's another Project, the ambitious Food Security Bill -- under this every BPL family will get 25 kgs of wheat or Rice for 3 Rs a kilo every month.

Budget increase the income tax exemption limit for senior citizens by Rs.15, 000, for women and others by Rs.10, 000 each.

• Live saving medicine will be cheaper
• Customs duty on bio-diesel will reduce
• Mobile phones and accessory become cheaper
• Branded Jewellery of women’s become cheaper
• Total budget expenditure for 2009-10 will Rs 10,28,032 cr
• New pension plans for 12 lakh Jawans and JCOs
• Rs 1,000 cr for Aila rehabilitation to West Bengal
• Unique Identification ID project to roll out in 12-18 months
• Full interest subsidy for students in approved institutions
• Interest subsidy for home loans up to Rs 1 lakh
• Indira Awaas Yojna hiked by 63% to Rs 8,883 cr
• Domestic oil prices must be in sync with global prices
• Target for agriculture credit raised to Rs 3,25,000 cr in 2009-10

well thanks nupur for the budget updates but i m still not able to figure out why Stock market reacted so badly to the budget..

As per my knowledge there was no such news which could affect the performance of market.

hi everybody , it was good budget for some sector only like some selected areas only or u can say that they targeted upcoming elections in some states , but it totally ignored some areas , and its government pre - bugdet plan to bring down the stock market and then slowly it will be raised so that it seem that its because of budget the reforms are done . its everything pre planned stragies of government .
