What is Discrete Graphic cards in laptop ?

I have question about graphic card, I came to know that there are two types of graphic card one is discrete and other is laptop type but I am confused. People say discrete are better and perform equally well to destop counter part but normal graphic card made for laptop are not good as destop gfx card. Help me to clear this confusion.

In broad terms, Graphic cards can be Discrete and Integrated.

Discrete cards are dedicated graphic cards generally installed separately , they are indeed better and ofcourse costs higher and they also need suitable PSU to support them.

Integrated are cheaper and comes integrated with motherboard.
