Install windows 10 taskmgr.exe in windows 7

Hi,

I have old computer running windows 7, it is not very much used apart of some basic documents and related stuff. I have no plan to upgrade it however, sometimes I feel that if I can replace Task Manager from windows 10 to windows 7 then would be great. It is because sometimes if computer is not working properly then task manager is always a good help to find it out.

Is it even possible because its just program but included with windows 10. Can I copy windows 10 taskmgr.exe to windows 7 ?

Are there any dependencies ?

For that you can just replace C:\Windows\system32\Taskmgr.exe with windows 8.1 or windows 10 Taskmgr.exe . I don't think there is any harm. My advice is to keep copy of Taskmgr.exe with you so that if new one is not working, you can then replace it with the current one.
