Indian Space & Research Organization has launched Bhuvan a satellite 3D Mapping tool beta Version which going to give a competition to Google earth.

ISRO become master in art of developing such unbelievable techniques by using various spectral, spatial and temporal resolutions which has been offered by versatile IRS satellites. And these unique techniques already implemented in several areas like policy making, natural resources management, disaster support etc.

Bhavan means Earth in Sanskrit language. Bhavan Earth is similar to Google earth. Bhuvan has promise to give 3D Satellite imagery to explore and Discover Virtual earth in 3D space with specific emphasis on Indian Region than is currently being offered by the US-based software giant plus a host of India specific features like weather information and even administrative boundaries of all states and districts.

Bhavan having the bit similar features like its offer pictures of the globe and navigate in the same way but offers best resolutions over the Indian sub-continent.

It allow user to explore Indian states from space to street level, grab, spin and zoom down to any place. This also offers tools like measuring, drawing, saving, printing and visualizing thematic information. Even user can see the movement of Vehicles quite clearly by Bhuvan.

Users have to register themselves before to download this feature because of Security purpose and the Basic Version of Bhuvan is Free of cost. You have to register first then it will ask to download the Bhuvan plug-in then accept the installation and use it.

no even im waiting for its review... ill surely check it out when i get time and give u its review...but nice initiative taken frm indian ppl
