NEW DELHI: Peeved over the "attitude of the Congress" in Parliament which was paralysed over the detention of Anna Hazare, Opposition leaders will meet on Tuesday to decide their course of action, including a proposal to boycott proceedings for three days.

"I have given a suggestion that we should boycott Parliament for three days. All Opposition parties will meet later today to take a decision on the issue", CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta told PTI here.

He condemned the Congress "attitude", saying the ruling party did not allow any discussion on the arrest of Anna Hazare and others.

CPM leader Brinda Karat also came down heavily on the Congress, saying Hazare's arrest was "a strong attack on democratic rights. ... I believe it also reflects the Congress party's refusal to tolerate any movement against corruption.

1. Anna Hazare hasn’t returned to his home for 35 years. He always keeps fighting against corruption in various states. He has devoted his whole life to the country.

2. He has been so busy in social work that he even doesn’t know the name of his real brother’s kids.

3. Anna Hazare started his career as a driver in the Indian Army. He spent his spare time reading the books of Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vinoba Bhave that inspired him to become a social worker and activist.

4. His statements have huge impact even on corrupt politicians minds. Recently, his statement against Sharad Pawar made him quit GOM. Still, he is not happy as he wants Pawar to resign from all the important posts. Rightly So !

Here are more update regarding Anna Hazare and his supporter like Shanti Bhushan, Arvind Kejriwal etc.:

Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi and Shanti Bhushan have been arrested by Delhi Police, hours before Anna could launch his fast against corruption.

Hazare, along with his supporters were arrested by the Delhi Police, preventing him from going ahead with his proposed protest.

Hazare and his associates were arrested under CrPC sections 107 and 151. Hazare (73) was taken into custody from a residential area in Mayur Vihar before he was to proceed to the venue of his fast at J.P. Park, where prohibitory orders are in place.

The Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) sections 107 and 151: What does it imply?
Section 107: When an Executive Magistrate receives information that any person is likely to commit a breach of the peace or disturb the public tranquility or to do any wrongful act that may probably occasion a breach of' the peace or disturb the public tranquility and is of opinion that there is sufficient ground for proceeding, he may in the manner hereinafter provided, require such person to show cause why he should not be ordered to execute a bond [with or without sureties] for keeping the peace for such period, not exceeding one year, as the Magistrate thinks fit.

Section 151: Arrest to prevent the commission of cognizable offences. A police officer knowing of a design to commit any cognizable offence may arrest, without orders from a Magistrate and without a warrant, the person so designing, if it appears to such officer that the commission of the offence cannot be otherwise prevented.

A good news for the supporter of Anna Hazzare, after a day over till anna was arrested the Indian government has decided to release him from tihar jail tonight, according to the sources.

The sources said the decision to release Anna was taken after government is understood to have come to the a conclusion that keeping him in jail would create unnecessary law and order situation.

Meanwhile, civil rights activists Kiran Bedi and Shanti Bhushan, detained by Delhi Police Tuesday morning ahead of Anna Hazare's fast-unto-death, were released in the evening, police said.

"Kiran Bedi and Shanti Bhushan have been released," Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat told reporters. He said theirs was "preventive arrest".

Mr Hazare was greeted in a Delhi flat this morning a little after 7 by many policemen. They asked if he was planning on proceeding with his plan for a mass protest at Jai Prakash Narayan Park. When he confirmed that was his agenda, he was taken into preventive custody. The government said that it had no choice but to arrest Mr Hazare for defying ordered that banned large gatherings. His arrest was not unanticipated - he had recorded a video message declaring this the second freedom struggle. "My dear countrymen, second freedom struggle has begun and now I have also been arrested. But will this movement be stopped by my arrest? No, not at all. Don't let it happen... Time has come my countrymen when there should be no place left in jails in India to accommodate any more persons," he said.

At 3:30 pm, Mr Hazare was moved to Tihar Jail. Nearly 300 people gathered outside in a show of solidarity. The police and the Government tried to explain that Mr Hazare would have been allowed to hold his protest if he had accepted the conditions of limit his hunger strike to three days and his supporters to 5000. In court, the police said it did not want custody.

Anna Hazare denied to be released from Tihar Jail

Social activist Anna Hazare and his supporters will be released from Tihar Jail, Delhi Police said on Tuesday evening, hours after arresting the 74-year-old for breach of peace.

"We have sent the release warrant of Anna Hazare and his supporters," Delhi Police PRO Rajan Bhagat
told IANS.

Hazare was detained on Tuesday morning ahead of his planned fast-unto-death for a stronger lokpal bill.

Anna will definitely change the way the system works...But i would like to mention here that Anna needs to rethink about his strategy.. last time when he called off his fast ... negative signals had flown to public... some thought that team Anna had became stubborn and they didn't wait for the parliament to pass the bill...they should also realize the importance of democracy,

Do our selected member of parliament have no right to put forward their point of view????
