Dev Anand died of cardiac arrest on 3rd December in London. He was 88. He was in London for Medical treatment and was staying at the Washington Mayfair hotel with his son. The Indian Film Industry is mourning the death of one of its legend.It is reported that the actor has died of heart attack at around 10 in night. "An era has come to an end. Dev Anand leaves a void never perhaps to be filled again. He never gave up belief, his joy of life," tweeted Bachchan




He was born in 1923 in Gurdaspur which is now in Pakistan. He began his carrier in 1946 and achieved success in romantic films. His best known films as an actor included 1957's Paying Guest, 1966's Guide, and 1967's Jewel Thief. He had great looks and a voice that won over million of hearts . He won the India's highest film honor in 2002 when he won the Dada Saheb Phalke Award. He is succeeded by a son and a daughter.

Indeed he was an good actor. Though his stardom was on peak when most of us never existed in this world. But from archives and reports, we know that he was really a legend for Indian Cinema.
