Tata Motors has decided to unveil Diesel variants of Nano at Delhi Auto Expo next year. The diesel variant is expected to provide fuel economy around 32-35 kmpl which is a ambitious number and if it turns out to be a reality it would be a achievement in itself. The car is expected to be packed with 800cc, 2 cylinder, a diesel engine. It will pump out around 35bhp and will provide a torque of 110Nm. It will provide highest speed of 105kmph and the price is expected to be more than petrol variants.Though the petrol version didn't became popular but it is expected that with soaring fuel prices this diesel variant will became popular with masses.

Well you will be sad to know that Tata Nano 2012 Diesel will not be showcased in Auto Expo Delhi 2012 and its not sad news for you only but most of the people will be disappoint with this announcement. I am sharing it in detail..

The downside is the most anticipated Tata Nano diesel is not likely to make it to the 2012 Auto Expo. The diesel variant was hotly anticipated for once again the promising mileage of 32-35 kmpl. Probably, the diesel variant launch is postponed for some later time until then we can brood over the Pixel concept which is nothing short of an eye candy. However, it makes more sense to store the Tata Nano diesel for sometime later to give enough time for the 2012 Tata Nano launched recently to to bask in glory and enjoy its own share of success, at least for the efforts the auto major has put in to incorporate the missing aspects.

See there is no exact reason behind this delay but what I think it is due to Tata Nano 2012 is getting good sell so Tata Motors may be thinking that if they will launch Nano in diesel then people will be moving towards diesel and one more thing in place of Nano diesel Tata will be launching its new amazing car Tata Pixal.
Now the Indian car maker will display this extremely small and cute car in Auto Expo Delhi. Yes Sanjeev i quite agree with you that Tata is trying very hard to boost the image of it's Nano. But recently it had called back it's Nano to replace starter motor, not so back ago Tata had called it's Nano back to install fire safety device in it. These things indicate that tata is not fully experienced when it comes to manufacturing cheap cars, however with time it is expected that they will surely learn.
