Ford motors has launched it's sports utility vehicle Ford Eco Sport in Indian markets. Though the company has not not revealed anything about the price but this model is expected to priced in the range of Rs. 7-9 lakhs. Mr. Alan Mullaly, Ford Motor Company CEO, said on the occasion, "Majority of our growth now in terms of production facility and volumes will be focused on serving the Asia Pacific customers starting with India.".

Experts claim that Ford could well repeat the success story of Ford Figo with this SUV. The company should be able to price it right in order to make it more popular among the buyers. Ford knows the importance of pricing specially after the cold response that Ford Fiesta is getting just because it is not priced smartly.
The top officials of the company has claimed that a intense research was carried in Indian market so that the company could get familiar with the choices and preferences of the people of India. The model will be entitled to relaxation in excise duty as the length of this car is less than 4 meters.

The car is highly fuel efficient and is capable of delivering a power of 120PS and a torque of 170NM. The car is also environment friendly as it reduces carbon emission by 30%. This version will also accompanied by a 1.5 liter diesel version which will be launched later this year.
