Toyota motors has launched their Etios racecars at Auto Expo 2012 held in New Delhi. These cars are quite like current Liva and Etios except certain modifications have been made to ensure that cars can easily race on tracks.

As in 2012 there will be exhibition races, the first race will be held on 28th of January in Chandigarh and it will be followed by a full fledged racing series will begin in mid of 2013. These races will be held on three tracks The Buddh international Circut, The Madras motor racing track and Kari Motor speedway. Drivers who are between the age of 15 to 24 will be selected and the selection will be quite alike to what Volkswagen Cup had followed.Interested drivers can apply online from 15 to 24 January. Shortlisted drivers will be trained both by local drivers as well as by TRD drivers.




The cars will have following modifications in order to make it fit for racing, a modified bumper, Toyota racing graphics, a tow hook at the front and rear, a sporty gear knob, Momo steering wheel, bonnet fastener, electric gauges, a fire extinguisher, a four point seat harness and a high performance brake pads.
