Recently sharad pawar told that Sachin recommended Dhoni for captaincy.This raises the question that Indian cricket team is selected by few people and not by Selection committee.

No one wanted the captaincy.
Especally after they crashed out of 2007 world cup - everyone was burning flags like idots

i think sachin wanted dhoni to be captain because as a team member he must have noticed dhoni and would have observed that he can be good option then even himself.

he highly scroed player

india won the LOTS and LOTS of cup by the captainship of tendulker

now tell me sachin is great right

i don't think he has that kind of status in current team
