Swedish luxury car maker Volvo has launched new generation model of its XC60 Crossover SUV in the global market. Considering the prices of petrol are ever increasing the new version of XC60 model has been offered in a new diesel version which is indeed the right marketing strategy.

The new Volvo XC60 will be powered by a three cylinder turbo diesel engine which will deliver a peak performance of 163 Bhp along with torque of 400 Nm torque. The powerful diesel engine of the car comes incorporated with a six speed automatic transmission along with an all wheel drive system. Considering it has a Diesel engine it can give ferocious competition to it's rivals like Audi Q5 and BMW X3.

The car is available in the price segment of 34.4 lakhs to Rs 37.4 lakhs. The model is imported to the Indian market through CBU (completely built unit) route, attracting an import duty of over 100 percent. The company has a expansion plan in which they are planning to expand it's sales ans service network in India and are also planning to launch new portfolio models.

The Swedish luxury carmaker, Volvo has launched the D3 Turbo diesel engine powered three luxury vehicles in the Indian market including the two sedans Volvo S60 & Volvo S80 and a Sport Utility Vehicle Volvo XC60. These three vehicles are available at the introductory price of Rs.33.9 lakh (XC60), Rs.31.9 lakh (S80) and Rs.23.9 lakh (S60).
