Alto is better than other small cars if we talk about low maintenance. I have Alto since 5 years and I have to travel more than 50 km/day. No problem yet. It is the best small car for Indian road.

Maruti Suzuki Alto is best option for you it's a budget car and easy to maintain. I think you should go with this car....... Take care
