Today I turned on my computer and to my surprise there was a pinkish line in almost center of my monitor. It was working fine last night and in morning there is this line. I is very thin line and it is in center of the Monitor. I thought there is connection problem but I changed cable and everything is same. Is it dead pixel in my computer, can I repair this line myself ? I think my Monitor is now 14 months old so it is not in warranty. Can this be repaired, what is the issue with this Monitor ?

I tried to even press the area where line is but there is no help. The line almost disappears in light colors but on dark colors it is prominently visible.

You should first make sure it is not created by graphic card of the computer, if you have any other monitor then test in it , only after that we can decide because there can be multiple reason behind it.
