GOLD

Gold traded little changed on Thursday as investors waited for China’s official purchasing managers index data to gauge the performance of the world’s No.2 economy.

SPOT GOLD

Spot gold was little changed at $1,719.96.

OIL

U.S. gasoline futures prices rose on Wednesday on concerns about East Coast supply shortages as the energy sector struggled to restore operations disrupted by massive storm Sandy.

GOLD

Gold traded little changed on Friday, remaining on track to snap three weeks of losses, with investors waiting for a key U.S. employment report later in the day for further clues on the health of the world’s top economy.

SPOT GOLD

Spot gold was little changed at $1,715.59.

BRENT CRUDE

Brent December crude fell 53 cents, or 0.49 percent, to settle at $108.17 a barrel.

U.S. crude steady ahead of election


GOLD

Gold traded steady on Tuesday as investors awaited potential policy spinoffs from the U.S. presidential election, while China’s upcoming leadership transition and Greece’s strike over a new austerity package also kept sentiment cautious.



SPOT GOLD

Spot gold ticked up $1.47 to $1,685.46.


OIL

Brent crude jumped nearly 2 percent on Monday, snapping a string of five lower settlements as stronger U.S. gasoline futures helped oil to rally while storm-ravaged areas of the East Coast continued to grapple with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.


BRENT CRUDE

Brent crude stood at $107.66 per barrel.


U.S.CRUDE

U.S. crude for December delivery had slipped 4 cents to $85.61 per barrel.

Gold edged lower on Wednesday, shaving off some of its nearly 2 percent gains in the previous session, with investors awaiting the outcome of a neck-and-neck U.S. presidential election.
