Just read somewhere that Suzuki is planning to launch the 2-door version of the Swift(Swift sport) in India.
That too with the 1.6 Litre engine of the SX4 or the 1.4 Litre engine of the ertiga.
True?
Advert.

True?
Yes, you are right, they have already launched it in UK , its called as swift sport and have 1.6-litre petrol engine at 134bhp and is fitted with a six-speed gearbox it was faster in-gear from 30-50mph. It can go from 0-100kmph in 8.4 seconds.
Below we have some pictures of the car, this will have two doors but two rows of seats.
I think they will bring it to India soon because of recent launches of cars like Polo sports, Etios Liva Sports . So its logical to launch it in India.
I also found earlier topic regarding Swift Sports in India :

Too good to be false, thanks for sharing this.
If this is true Suzuki just got a customer,i'm going for 1 for sure.
Any latest updates? Please share if any.
Also what is the expected price?
This is a speculation.
I strongly doubt the Indian market is ready for such cars...the pricing will be more than 13 lakhs if its a 1.6.
I'd suggest "Lets not get too excited so soon" as there is no official news from suzuki.
Hope this is true.
@Arvind-I wont buy it but will surely drive yours or take a test drive at least.
What is price of Liva sports and polo sports, I think should be around similar price range..
@yahoo-Liva sports and polo sports are not really competition to the swift sports.Swift sports is an entirely different league.
I agree with Arvind,Polo sports and etios sports cant even beat the 2006 Stock swift.
Swift sports is a car which can be compared to a Mercedes C class or BMW 3 series in terms of performance.
However i think its high time we get RWD cars in the under 20 lakh budget.Just tired of FWD's.
I think most of the SUV comes in RWD.. There is Padmini Rio (compact SUV) , that comes with RWD too .
Yes i know that.
I meant cars and not SUV's. Even the Padmini premier taxi is a RWD. But i think the cars like honda city should be made RWD so that we can do some sick*** drifting!
Get a BMW 3-series,it is the cheapest RWD available,BTW we are going off topic so lets get back to the topic,
Dont you guys think the Swift Sports should have been a RWD? Light weight + More power is a good recipie indeed, but it causes loss of traction, torque steer and lots of understeer if it is in a FWD.
I'd rather buy a 118ne and mod it heavily!
Drifting a 3 series requires a body without a heart in it!
Now we are talking like boys! Bring it on!
