Unless the government takes modernization of the police forces seriously, no good will come out of these counter terrorism meets.
The government has to make sweeping changes in the police forces so that they can combat this menace. Fundamental issues on police integrity and morale have addressed on a immediate basis. The Police have to be assured of no political interference. Terrorists have to be booked on a fast track court as soon as ample evidence is provided through independent forensic teams. No quarter should be spared for those indulging in these mass murder and waging war against the nation acts. Deal with them quickly and efficiently should be the motto. Only then will we be able to see quantifiable results in Counter Terrorism. All talk will certainly not help-action is the need of the hour.
