It's not like that anymore, it's like if you tell them and share your feeling they do understand.

It depends differ from parents to parents but as Anand says, you should convey feelings to parents and I hope they will understand but it also depends upon their academic and past family backgrounds, in some families , love and affair is still considered tabu.
