    Advert.
    Hi

I am in trouble, I changed file association in windows 7 accidently for .lnk and that stand for shortcut and with file assocaition editor present in windows 7 , i can't unassociate but I think I can change it through windows registry or remove it completely so that it can come to normal. Please tell me what is the location in windows registery editor and what I can do to remove it completely .. no association with anything at all.

I searched and found the location its, under

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\FileExts

So if you do not already know, type "regedit" in start --> Run and it will open registery editor, navigate to above location and then delete .lnk completely, you should be fine then.
