well, there came a time (and its still at its peak) when engg. was the most trendy of all the graduation degrees, for it was supported by a narrow belief that you won't leave college empty-handed. The number of engg. colleges increased dramatically , to that extent that you could see these mushrooming up in every nook and cranny of every major to minor city. Now, when the utopia shrouding the much-hyped course seems to have been drained, thanks to the recession, mba has become the fountain of everyone's hope.

But the question is in a country like ours where our latent talent means nothing against the security of a profession (which we hardly like to pursue, anyway) will getting an mba degree give us that satisfaction that was once attributed to be begotten by the engg. degree?

Is it not a high time to do what we likr to do rather than follow the horde?

I think now-a-days both mba and engineering proffessions are not treated as secured proffession unless and until you pursue it from India's best university. Through state university thousands of candidates passed every year and few get job among them. So, nothing is secure or relevant you have to make it by your talent.
