    Hello guys,

    Recently I installed new Kingston SSDNow V100 128 GB SSD Internal Hard Drive to my existing PC setup,

    its working and really fast..

    now I have a doubt, Is it possible to migrate the windows installation files without re-installing windows.??

    Please provide information on this.

    Yes, you can do that, I had once written an article about windows cloning and image creation. If target disk is bigger than current disk then you can do it easily.


    Migrate to SSD from HDD without reinstalling windows using image creation


    But here issue seems to be with disk size. However, it is also possible to simply copy your windows partition to new drive and then give it same drive later as well as re-writing boot MBR on SSD (making it primary drive). Logically should work but seems little tricky.

    May you can simply make image of your boot partition and restore on SSD as per tutorial.
