I am looking to reset a phone to factory mode, wipe out everything and bring it as if its new. How it can be done in Nokia 5233 phone ?

There are two types of reset, hard reset and soft reset, the hard reset removes everything, brings phone to factory settings, while soft reset retains some user settings and data.

For hard reset : Turn off your phone, press Camera + Menu + call + power button (hold it for a while), phone will start and will ask for phone password, then will reset if it asks for country selection, time etc.
