I am currently using Norton AV (free version) and in the last two months it's been giving me a lot of problems & off late failed to detect a virus which ended up effecting my system quite bad. I desperately need to switch to a different AV. Could you guys suggest the best option in the market? Have heard about kaspersky, quick heal, avast. Which one is good?

Kaspersky is really good. Have tried it for about a year but I opted to switch to quick heal because they have a robust support system. And believe me; you won't want to get caught without customer support in a critical situation

Personally I prefer avast. But there's no harm in checking/trying other AV's like quick heal or kaspersky. I have hear quick heal is very effective what with constant efforts to upgrade to better quality always.

I would agree with Tousif. But having used Avast & quick heal in the past, I would suggest you could do a bit of your research too. Though I haven't faced problems with either of them before. The plus about quick heal is the timely upgrades
