Try formatting the pendrive in fat32 mode.
>still if the speed doesn't increase then you can't help it. to be honest sandisk pendrives suck their build quality is low, and their copying speed is very less .. thats why they are cheap.
for a quality pendrive go for transcend or any other reputed brand.
If your laptop/ desktop supports usb3.0 devices then buy a usb3.0 pendrive that would give you coping speed around 40mbps.
I have a 16gig usb3.0 Strontium pendrive... my pc doesn't support usb3.0 but it works on usb2.0 ports.. and it gives me copying speed around 15mbps.
