Philips 39PFL3559/V7 LED TV- How to enable subtitles for USB video

    Advert.
    Friends

I have Philips 39PFL3559/V7 full HD TV, using it from last 6 months and so far very good and value for money product but still I don't know how to enable Subtitles on this tv for usb movies or videos .
I have tried copying files with subtitles as .srt file but not working.

    For example :
    added movie as :
    movie.mp4
    and srt file as :
    movie.srt

but subtitles won't show .. if this TV can't support subtitles then its very bad because now a days even cheapest media player support sub titles and if I knew it at first place that there is no support then I think I would have purchased samsung or LG tv.

Rohit, I don't have Philips television but I searched around you and from the model, it looks like 3500 series television, it is not clearly mentioned on Philips website whether its upport sub titles or not. But this was given for 3500 series tvs...

To display the subtitle, proceed as follow:

While you play video from USB, press the ‘OPTIONS’ button.
Select [Subtitles], then press the ‘OK’ button.
Select [Subtitles on] or [On during mute], then press the ‘OK’ button.
NOTE: If you select [On during mute], subtitles are displayed only when you press to mute the sound.
Select [Subtitle language], then press the ‘OK’ button.
Select an available subtitle language of your preference, then press the ‘OK’ button.
To ensure that the subtitle is displayed correctly, you have to select the [Character set] that support the subtitle language, then press the ‘OK’ button.
    [Standard] for language: Turkish.
[Central Europe] for language : Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Slovene, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian (Latin script), Romanian and Albanian, Germany.
[Cyrillic] for language: Russian, Bulgarian, Serbian Cyrillic.
    [Greek] for language: Greek.
