Exclamation Government Banned India's NDTV Off Air For An Attack Coverage

    Advert.
i found this on the internet. so, i decided to share it with my etalkindia friends......... The Indian government has ordered a popular news channel NDTV to be taken off air for a day as a penalty for its coverage of an attack on Indian soldiers in January. New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) is an Indian television media company founded in 1988 by husband and wife Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy. NDTV is an acronym for the original name of the company, New Delhi Television.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said on Friday that NDTV Hindi revealed strategically sensitive details during the attack on the Pathankot airbase, allegedly carried out by the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed group......

I have seen this and it has been causing a lot of drama , Govt. ordered even one more channel to block its transmission for certain duration. Opposition is calling it anarchic. But on the other hand, I remember NDTV being anti-BJP from long. You can see past where BJP boycotted NDTV, like this one : http://www.firstpost.com/politics/bj...a-1426865.html . Now the bitter relationship between NDTV and BJP (which is in Government) is sure to make ripples in politics as opposition is declaring it political move. Perhaps ban of another channel is to make ban on NDTV to look more natural ?

What do you say, I hope you will also share your views apart of just sharing story on eTI ?

Well! I don't think it is too good to ban a TV station because of a little mistakes

I feel, it was just a reminder for the media guys,
that they have to be careful and take care of sensitiveness.
Many times, media exposes so much of info.
We need not talk about all our defence strategies
    and confidential things openly.

This is just to convey that
there has to be a limit.
