Is there any reliable ( no malaware/adware) traffic monitors that can give you the ip address and the website accessed and run from a client? I tried a few like Etherdetect, wireshark but they happened to be wrong ideas... any flashy ideas so that I can see what's going thro' my server?

What kind of server you are referring too ?
Is it internet gateway for your LAN?
What OS it is running ?

Yes Ricky, It' the Internet gateway for my LAN and the OS is Windows Server 2003

Wireshark is too good to monitor your LAN traffic but its little daunting at first.

For you, I suggest you to set Transparent Proxy and that way you will have total control and knowledge your lan traffic. Transparent Proxy is proxy which people will never know but you can still control them.
