If they are blocked, the heart cannot function properly. This leads to heart failure and you may experience pain in the chest.Risk factors are high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, lack of exercise, obesity, high blood cholesterol, poor diet, depression, and excessive alcohol.Ways to reduce Coronary Artery disease risk include healthy diet, regularly exercising, maintaining a healthy weight, and not smoking.If the patient is having any of these conditions like diabetes, emphysema, kidney disease, and Peripheral Artery Disease,then it can complicate the surgery .The risks of this surgery varies from person to person, depending on the severity of heart disease, type of operation, age, and the current state of health. CABG surgery risks include fever,bleeding,wound infection,memory loss,pulmonary problems,stroke.


Side effects of CABG may disappear within 4 to 6 weeks of the operation but includes difficulty in sleeping,constipation,swelling,muscle pain,back pain.
