Ms Mamata Banerjee has assumed for herself and her party, Trinamool Congress, a bigger role at the Cenre by winning as many as 19 Lok Sabha seats from West Bengal. She was aptly rewarded for her stunning victory and for dealing a serious blow to the Left parties by Dr Manmohan Singh, by granting her the plum Railways protfolio, because she has made the task of dealing with the Left parties in West Bengal much easier for the Congress.However, Ms Mamata is yet to come out of her role of a Regional Leader. Ms Mamata should realise that she is now a Union Minister and pay more attension to her Ministry, rather than keeping herself engaged in the State Politics all the time.
