The fake wealth of India, are we really the billionaire or the poorest ?

    Advert.
We days, there was news that India has now more billionaires than Japan. Even the total wealth of billionaire in India is triple to that of Japanese billionaires, so do per billionaire wealth is thrice of that of Japanese.
It means India is getting more prosperous now. Even our Business Giants are making a lot of moves on whole world and registering a strong presence of Indians.
There are news on and on that Developed Countries like USA etc. are now worried about India's pace of growth and they are considering measures to remain on TOP of world economy.

Recently WORLD BANK unvails a report , according to the report the highest number of POOR people is in India ie. 28.6 percent. Now just reading these lines, it sure makes us feel that are we having fake wealth ? Where we are heading ?

The truth is that this trend is followed globally but India is affected somehow more seriously. According to the studies of "Institute of Development Economics" of United States University (Helinsky) , only 15% of total world wealth goes to 90% world population which means that most of the world wealth is with few people ie. 10% owns 85% world wealth. So do India is not an exception .

India is far behind Bangladesh , Srilanka & Pakistan in terms of checking poverty. We are showing that we have achieved a financial growth which is something to boast about but on the other hand, everything seems to be vein. In India, last 10 years we saw growth of 5% Rich people while the growth of Urban labourers is increased to 67%. To make the scene worst, according to a national survey, monthly income of 5% villagers in India is less than Rs. 235. Same goes for people who lives in cities, still 5% of people of cities in India have monthly income less than Rs. 335.

According to reports, all India's wealth is basically growth in Real State and Share market. Moreover India has very high potential in Retail market (and this the reason that now giants are also stepping into it) but what all it leading us to ? Rich people will get richer and poor will be more poorer.

To sum up it all, daily 32 crore people goes to sleep without food . How much wealthy we are ?

You are right that India is largely a poor country. But there is great and growing wealth also. This is a land of contrasts. But the numbers of billionaires and millionaires does signify a vibrant, growing economy. Until 1994, we only had the Birlas on the list. The good news is that the wealth trickles downward with more spending, charities, investor confidence, etc. It benefits many over time, and makes for a good image to investors. Also, it helps Indians become ambitious and think high….seeing success, they can hope to aspire high.
