Hutch Pre paid - unreasonable charges

    Advert.
We had very bad experience with our Hutch Pre paid mobile services.
    1. Evenif you carry SIM card out side India and donot load in mobile, they put International roaming charges without even notifying you for two months.
    2. Another bad experience was that they cut for undelivered SMSs, Even in mobile instrument it shows unsent and their terminal also shows undelivered, their executives are helpless to reply these quiries.
Above both problems cost me in total Rs.300/-. I don't no how to approach to TRAI. Please inform me about procedure. These will help lots of customers of all service providers.

Re: Hutch Pre paid - unreasonable charges

    I think for first question..
They cannot detect that it is outside India untill you have not inserted it into mobile outside India. So if you had even turned ON mobile for 1 min. outside India then its obvious they can charge you. Not notifying for 2 months is ofcourse their poor service but it happens sometimes co0ridnation is good between Indian and foreigner telecom companies.

For second I can't say much.

    On first I agree.

For second, I used to believe that you will be charged even for undelivered messages as they are sent from your mobile. Delivered or not delivered does not matter. But I will confirm this tomorrow and shall tell you.

Also, you should contact personally some Zonal office, give a written application, get is signed by official their , have a photocopy with you. It is mentioned that now Telecom company should settle any dispute in maximum 7 days , if they fail then you can go to consumer court.

Also, read this circular by TRAI on 4th may :
