Halloween parties are gaining popularity in India

    Advert.
Halloween is the next big thing in the Capital of India, Delhi. Everybody trying to make more innovative outfits, masks and costumes to celebrate the party.

Halloween is also known as All Hallows Eve or All Saints Eve. Though Halloween celebrations go over 2000 years back to the ancient Celts, over the years, the customs and celebrations have changed a great deal. According to the legend of Halloween, the Celts lived in the British Isles during ancient times. The last day of the year on the old calender, October 31, served the many purposes of bidding goodbye to summer, welcoming the winter, and remembering the dead. This day was called Samhain.

According to legend, Samhain controlled the spirits of the dead and could allow them to rest peacefully, or make them go wild, on this night. The Celts believed that on the night of October 31, ghosts come out of their tombs and the spirits of the dead return. The colours of Halloween are orange and black. They represent the harvest (orange) and death (black). Witches, vampires, werewolves and ghosts are linked to Halloween. Traditionally, Halloween costumes are also of monsters and devils. They are said to be used to scare off demons.
