TUM MILE: HINDI MOVIE REVIEW
Directed by Kunal Deshmukh Tum Mile is about a poor guy Akshay (Emraan Hashmi) and a rich girl Sanjana (Soha Ali Khan) who fall in love and have a relationship. There is lot of love and happiness but it later gives birth to fights because of their financial differences. Akshay who is a great artist finally gets a job and wants to settle in Sydney but Sanjana does not want to go as she was well settled with her job. This leads to a break up and after six years the couple meet each other on 26th July 2005 and the old memories are revived.
What starts off as an innocent and accidental meeting on the same flight back to Mumbai, ends up forcing the couple to stay together during the storm that shook Mumbai. The story moves back and forth and is narrated so beautifully that it does not confuse the audience.
The movie is short and nicely wrapped up, but somehow the fury of the storm could not be effectively presented on screen. The love story of the couple is handled beautifully and some of the scenes are shot very well for instance the scene in which Soha is stuck inside the car due to the floods and also the last one when Akshay’s friend falls down in the water and dies.
Pritam has done justice to the music of the film and the songs “dil Ibadat” and “Tum Mile” are pleasant to the ear. Emraan proves himself to be an efficient actor and Soha is a pleasure to watch, doing full justice to her role.
