Just look at the mess the Indians make for themselves. It looks like they want
to dig their own graves. There are so many groups opposing everything.

Nuclear deal opposed by communists, while country badly need nuclear power.

Plan to allow private airlines to fly international routes, opposed by many groups
including defense, civil aviation and home ministry. for security reasons.!!
The whole world is having private airlines and they have no problems. But the
Indians have always this and that problem.

Tata small Car project - Opposed by some groups on some reason or other.

Privatizing insurance cos - opposed by LIC
Expanding ATM network - opposed by banks.
Sharing river waters - sttes fight it out while people have no drinking water
and fresh water flows into sea from the rivers, for the past 50 years.

The list is endless.

India loses because its people are simply contentious and oppose everything
like small kids. They howl "democracy" without knowing the meaning of what
democracy is nor wondering how other democratic nations are working and
flourishing without creating problems for themselves.

India has missed so many bus in the past.
But the Indians have not learnt any lessons.

Even if India gets the right leaders who can take the country forward, the country will be dragged to the bottom and kept there by these moronic attitude of people to oppose each and everything.

ATM are increasing, Private Insurance companies are also there and increasing.

Tata car project rather got benefitted from all those objections.
I do agree that sharing river water was always a mess for Indian states.

What we really need ?

A group of volunteers.. given ideas directly to Govt ?

If India is a nation of pathetic losers, then it didn't do so bad, but I certainly don't think of it that way. However, maybe India represents the biggest flaw with democracy because it actually practices it better than other democratic nations, including the U.S. And that flaw is dissensions when there is no dominant voice among several that may emerge as the basis for a specific policy. In such a situation when there is no clear majority, it's especially difficult to build a consensus towards implementing a national policy. No party or group wants to give in to the other just because it lacks only fewer votes or support. On the other hand, I wonder how often oppositions to specific agendas are motivated by the desire to aatack and counter-attack politically? In any case, ultimately, practical compromises must be made in order to put progressive ideas and words to actions.

It happens everywhere.
Every nation has some shortcoming and so do India have and we need to raise it properly.
