Indore local court on Thursday issued bailable warrant against Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, Ashok Rajpal and Rakesh Rajpal (car showroom owners) for allegedly disrespecting the national flag at a programme in the city on August 16.

The incident occurred during a function organised by a showroom of a leading car maker where Khan was the chief guest and 11 national flags were hoisted on top of the showroom.

The tricolour remain hoisted even after the sunset and when mediapersons drew attention of the showroom owners on the issue, the flags were allegedly pulled down in a "derogatory manner" and remained on the floor in violation of the national flag code.

A complaint in this regard was filed by an advocate Shailendra Sharma following which the court of judical magistrate first class (JMFC) today issued bailable warrants against them.

The court directed them to appear on October 12 in the case.

The complaint was filed under Prevention of Insult to the National Honour Act of 1971 and relevant section of the IPC.
