Hide and Seek: Hindi Movie Review

Debutante director Shawn Arranha can surprise everone with his new flick, Hide and Seek, where a bunch of friends are trapped in a shopping mall reluctantly and playing the same game that they had started 12 years ago.

This suspense thriller has 6 friends Om, Abhi, Jaideep, Imran, Gunita and Jyotika who play a game on the night of the Christmas eve, little knowing that it will transform their lives forever and behind scars that will come back to haunt them again. his time it all started with a mysterious message – a catchphrase from their past – which results in Om, just out of asylum, getting a surprise visit from childhood sweetheart Jyotik. While the same message distracts Abhi, Om’s estranged brother and business tycoon, in a corporate boardroom, it disturbs Gunita, the damsel in financial distress, sends chills down the spine of Imran, the fat kid grown up into a muscular movie star, and intrigues Jaideep, the bully who’s graduated into a political hooligan. All of them gather in the shopping mall and there starts a serious of thrilling activities which will make you bite your nails. The best part about the movie is that it keeps you guessing till the end. There are one or two hitches here and there, but then to a new director with a fresh star cast will be able to survive these small mistakes.

The performances by the lead actors are good and leave behind an impression.. Purab Kohli is super-efficient, as always. Arjan Bajwa gets character right. Samir Kochhar leaves a strong impact. Mrinalini Sharma springs a pleasant surprise with a 'spirited' performance. Amruta Patki impresses as well.
