INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

Butter milk 1cup
Spring onion 1 no.
Garlic 1 clove
Green chilly 1 no.
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Asafoetida a pinch
Black pepper 1 tsp
Mustard 1 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves 6no.s
Salt as per taste.

HOW TO PREPARE?

In a mixie jar take spring onion, turmeric powder, garlic and 1/2 tsp mustard seeds and grind coarsely. Now add butter milk to this, mix well and keep aside. Pour a tbsp of oil in khadai and heat. Add the remaining mustard seeds and let it splutter. Now add black pepper, asafoetida and curry leaves and put off the flame. Let it cool for a while. Now add the butter milk mixture to this, add salt and put on flame (low). Keep stirring till it gets hot, do not let it boil. Remove from fire, pour out into a bowl, and beat it till it froths. Tasty buttermilk curry is ready. Serve with rice. Fried fish is the best side dish with this curry...........
