hi ppl... i wanna buy the best ram available in india... wht wud u all suggest in tht case? which r de best brands?

Well, there are many brands in India but what you need to look for is what chip they are using. Transcend is a good choice and you will find that many dealer recommending it.

I have been using Dynet chip and Hynix.. both are very good as far as my experience.

If you can spend more then its corsair which you might look but its costly.

i used transcend but there were a lot of warranty issues.... my dealer kept it for 3 months and still havent replaced it... i m nevr goin to try transcend. wht r ur views abt zion?? i m hearin a lot about zion lately.

Transcend is I think USA based company but they should have some Indian local offices. You try locating them and contact them about issue.

On the other hand, Zion is an Indian company which is using Hynix chips. Hynix Chips are fine I have used and no problem so far in 2 years.
As Zion is Indian so you may have better after sales suupport.

i tried locating transcend ppl bt they did nt respond... zion is using hynix chips nd i think they r pretty gud wid rates as well as wid warranty....

You may go with Zion . I am also thinking to buy a 1GB stick.. I shall try Zion too. ! Lets see how it goes.

If you really want to try Indian brand computer RAM then you should go with AUM memory, manufacturer Om Nanotech, Indian based company. I have been using AUM memory from quite sometime and its working fine, moreover the most important thing is they are using MICRON chip , which is really very good. You can check "Symtronics" or "Digital Hynix" also.

well go for hyundai ram.. it has amazing performance.. or transced is always preferred
