The metropolitan magistrate's court on Wednesday awarded the custody of Faisal Khan, younger brother of actor Aamir Khan, to his father Tahir Hussain.

Hussain has been granted the ailing actor's custody for one month. The court also said that there was no need for mental examination of Faisal.

Faisal has been asked by the court to appear in Khar police station every alternate day.

Police produced Faisal in the Bandra metropolitan magistrate's court on Wednesday along with the medical report by JJ Hospital.

The report said Faisal suffers from a schizo-affected psychosis (a thought disorder which may affect mood).

"Although he does not need to be in hospital, his custody should be given to a responsible member of the family and he has to visit a doctor twice a month..,'' the report said. It also said Faisal's "insight and judgment continue to be impaired.''
